The short version

This site and the NSE PTO app are run by the PTO to tell parents what is happening at school. Reading them costs nothing and asks nothing of you. Signing in is optional, and everything below applies only if you choose to.

Using the site and the app

Use them to keep up with school news, the calendar, volunteering and the auction. Do not try to break into other people’s accounts, scrape the site, or use it to send anyone anything they did not ask for. We can suspend an account that does.

Your account

You are responsible for what happens under your sign-in. Tell us if you think someone else has it. You can delete your account at any time, in the app under Settings, or on this site from your account page.

Text alerts

The program is NSE PTO Alerts, operated by Threefold Studio, LLC on behalf of the NSE PTO. It is optional and off by default. You opt in by adding your mobile number in the app’s Settings and switching on text alerts. Nobody else can add your number for you. The exact consent language shown next to that switch is reproduced at nsepto.com/sms-consent.

What we text you, and how often

Urgent school notifications only: closures, early dismissals and safety alerts. Message frequency varies with what happens at school, and in a normal year that is a handful of messages, not a weekly newsletter. We deliberately do not text about events, fundraisers or reminders. Those live in the app and on this site.

Cost

We do not charge for text alerts. Message and data rates may apply from your own mobile carrier.

Stopping and getting help

Reply STOP to any message and the texts stop. Reply HELP and you will get a reply telling you how to reach the PTO. You can also switch alerts off in the app’s Settings screen, which is the same switch that turned them on.

Carriers

Mobile carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Text is a backup, never the only place a message exists: everything we text you is also in the app and on this site.

The auction

Bidding is a PTO fundraiser. No payment is taken on this site or in the app; the winning bidder settles with the PTO directly. A bid is a commitment to pay if you win. The PTO can correct or cancel a bid that was clearly a mistake.

Volunteering

Signing up to help is a commitment to the people organising it, not a contract. If you cannot make it, tell the PTO so someone else can take the slot.

Changes

We will update this page when the software changes. Carry on using the site or the app after a change and you have accepted it.
